Ayesha has 08 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. As a development professional, she has diverse experience in humanitarian relief, disaster management, gender and child protection. In her most recent capacity as Program Management Support Coordinator with Aga Khan Foundation, Ayesha is responsible for programs and strategy development, reporting, grants management, capacity development and coordination for Baghlan Region of Afghanistan. Previously, She has worked with a Solidar Switzerland where she designed and developed DRR strategy and based upon that successfully developed comprehensive project proposals gaining the organization over four million dollars in funding. Solidar appointed her as a country focal person on gender and disaster risk reduction in 2016. In acknowledgment of her advocacy efforts for mainstreaming of disaster risk reduction (DRR) in development, she was nominated and selected for the position of chair of provincial DRR forum. Ayesha has gained skills in project management, program support, reporting, grant and proposal development, monitoring and evaluation, and communications. Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI) and International Medical Corps selected her for their Program on Humanitarian Leadership (PHL) recently. Ayesha is passionate about women empowerment and disaster management.

Project Management :
Leading the designing, planning, management and implementation of humanitarian and development aid projects (Emergency response, WASH, Livelihood, Health, DRR, Child Protection and Child Labor) with a financial portfolio of 4 million dollars.
Technical Backstopping:
Serve as in-country focal point on DRR& Gender for Solidar Pakistan where i have built the capacities of local partners, field teams and project staff on Disaster risk reduction, report writing, development of success stories and case studies and data management tools.
Program Development and Reporting :
Supporting National program manager in the development of funding strategy and developed concept notes and project proposals and secured funding from key donors (ECHO, Swiss Solidarity, CBM etc). Submitted timely standard and pledge-based narrative reports to HQ and donors.
Coordination:
Successfully managed field teams, operations and built networks with government authorities, clusters, Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF), civil society organizations and UN agencies.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
Supervised the M&E officer in the development and implementation of effective monitoring and evaluation frameworks and plans. Lead the conduction of baseline and KAP surveys, mid and end term evaluation studies.

Technical Assistance:
I was promoted from Project Support Officer to Project Officer DRR where i had effectively managed the planning, development and implementation of DRR projects. In addition to this i have developed training modules for DRR and supported the delivery of (remote) trainings on HVCA, Risk Assessment, DRM, and Community /School Based DRR and provided technical support to VDMCs and SDMCs in the development of community and school disaster management plans.

Project Planning and Management:
Effectively lead the development and implementation of DRR projects in the remote areas of KP. by keeping a close liaison with stakeholders and local partners.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
Developed monitoring and evaluation frameworks and field monitoring reports to ensure that project activities are in line with agreed goals and timelines.
Capacity Building and Reporting:
Conducted trainings for government officials, field teams, civil society organizations, communities, school teachers and students on DRR. Built the capacities of local partners on report writing and being the reporting lead i ensured timely submission of monthly and quarterly reports from partners to HQ and documented project related case studies and success stories.
Leadership and Coordination:
Unanimously elected as the Chair for KP DRR forum where i strive to bring the national and international organizations together to advocate for the mainstreaming of DRR. In addition to this i led all the task forces and maintained a close liaison with PDMA KP especially for the development of road map for DRM(2014-2019) and monsoon contingency planning. I also served as the coordinator for the Higher Education Commission DRR Working Group which worked on the integration of DRR in the university curricula.
Media& Communication Officer
Development of Communication Strategy:
Developed the communication strategy (Internal & External) for HOPE`87 and facilitated the updating, implementation and evaluation of a results oriented communications strategies.
Development of IEC Material:
Ensure all communications products to be used by the organization are of the highest quality and standards, including editing, designing of Newsletters, Brochures, press releases etc.
Project Implementation:
Managed the implementation of key project activities through keeping a close liaison with field teams and local partners. Developed project monitoring tools and improved the quality of activities by extending technical support where needed.
