Mera Maan literally means ‘my pride and dignity’. It is a Social Enterprise that ‘‘Builds Capacity to Build Capacity’‘ of people and organizations. It was inspired in 2005 when the founder and CEO, Shahnaz Kapadia Rahat, lost her 17-year-old son Salman in an earthquake. In those moments of stark pain and startling clarity, she decided to dedicate her life to a bigger purpose, i.e. to making this world a better, a more beautiful and happier place.

Mera Maan is a platform for doing that. And capacity building is her tool. Shahnaz brings to Mera Maan 30 years experience as a social entrepreneur and out of box innovative thinker in enterprise and value chain development, gender mainstreaming and governance, leadership and management, and youth and peace development.
