he Foundation University, Islamabad (FUI) has been established as a private sector university. It is sponsored by the Fauji Foundation, which is the largest welfare organization in the country having vast human and financial resources.

The Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) was granted the Charter by the Federal Government vide Ordinance No. LXXXVIII of 2002, as promulgated by the President of Pakistan and notified in the Gazette of Pakistan. The University has been established as a centre of excellence to provide quality education of international standards to the talented students.
