This is the story of pain, poverty and ignorance. These cleft kids cannot smile, eat or speak properly. Cannot go to school, cannot get job, and cannot get married. If we can focus our efforts to help thousands of cleft patients, they may be enables to smile and speak, free from any inferiority complex.
There is no prevention. Surgery is the only option.
