Monitor and analyze hydro-power plant performance and efficiency.
Responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of the plant. This includes overseeing day-to-day activities such as monitoring equipment performance,conducting routine maintenance of generator , stator, rotor.
Monitor excitation system, inspection of circuit breakers ,transformers and metering instruments on daily basis.
Responsible for conducting routine maintenance,troubleshooting issues,implementing safety protocols.
Working on GIS (gas insulated switch gear) and AIS (air insulated switch gear) these electrical substation equipment used to control and distribute electrical power.
Supervision of testing and commissioning of GIS and AIS. Testing includes dielectric test, resistance measurement of the circuits, tightness test, temperature rise check, pressure test on portion, low and high temperature verification\'s.
Supervision of rotor and stator testing like insulation resistance (IR), winding resistance, growler, phase balance, surge comparison, polarity and ball rotation test.
Routine maintenance and testing of excitation system. Self excitation and separate excitation systems. Excitation system supply and regulate the amount of D.C current required by generator field winding.
