Humanitarian legacy always encouraged me since my university time to contribute in the society for ensuring the well-being of suppressed segments of society particularly the women facing dominancy of males in conservative societies, similarly the cash strap communities in far flung areas of the country. So I started my career during my higher education in year 2000, while joining the short term (6 months) project of international organization Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO). This was my first hands-on experience to deal with voter education to less educated and deprived part of countrys southern side. During the entire period of my professional career of 15 years, I served numerous national and international development entities including British High Commission Islamabad, British Council Pakistan, Pattan Development Organization (PDO), Department of International Development (DFID) UK, German based organization Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), National Democratic Institute (NDI), Concern World Wide (CWW), USAID funded Agri-Support Business Fund, Canadian organization MEDA and JICA funded project Community World Service Asia (CWSA). While working in international environment, I gained the experience on Data collection and Management, Profiling of beneficiaries, Awareness and advocacy, Program development, Project management, Inter-Personal Communication Skills, Entrepreneurship, Value Chain Analysis, Research and Management, Mobilization and Disaster Mitigation and preparedness. My longer-term goals are to learn a variety of areas within the field of development and humanitarian assistance. Id love to become a part of expert teams of donors and UN agencies in diverse fields of project management in the long term I saw this job offers exposure to a variety of areas, which is something I liked.
