Working as a Short-Term-Assignee at the Batangas factory of Philip Morris Fortune Tobacco Corporation (PMFTC) Philippines. PMFTC is an affiliate of Philip Morris International Philippines and currently holds more than 85% cigarette market share. Batangas factory is the first green-field factory setup by PMI in Asia. It is capable of producing in excess of 30 billion cigarette sticks per year.

Main responsibilities of my job are:
-To analyze the tobacco requirement, and to source the tobacco from the global warehouses as well as to arrange for direct shipments according to the requirements
-Maintain the required inventory based on the duration target through monthly stock reviews
-Ensure timely delivery of tobacco to the warehouse in line with the production demands
-Optimize the warehouse utilization
-Provide yearly tobacco shipment forecast based on the cigarette sales and production requirement estimates

My other job responsibilities include:
-Provide analysis on the tobacco shipments at the Vigan Stemmery to the higher management
-Monitor and analyze the tobacco price, quality and volumes being sold at the tobacco buying stations at Vigan, Santa Cruz and Mindoro and provide recommendations

-Provide Leaf management with a timely planning/reporting system and
reports in order to monitor performance against objectives.

-Monitor and analyse the reports and alert management of deviations
from standards. Review the actual Buying/Proessing figures in order to
present how the Leaf team performed in relation to set KPIs.

-Prepare reports on monthly basis for Asia Leaf team, based on PMI
guidelines. Calculate year to date figures and compare them to the
KPIs.

-Update and maintain leaf buying/processing statistics to ensure
availability of all important data. Provide presentations and charts
if required.

Preparation of monthly production plan
On floor production supervision to ensure adherence to QA and production KPIs.
