• Build strong formal relations with the community groups to win their confidence for working with them as partner.
• To initiate the sensitization and realization process at the Mohalla/UC level in the villages.
• Organize collective community meetings ensuring the representation of at least 80 percent households of the village to discuss the formation of the community organization.
• Facilitate the community members in formation of their organization.
• Conduct Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) in villages to enhance awareness of the community on available resources, its utilization, social trends, event occurrences etc. and use the PRA in village planning.
• Conduct regular meetings with the office bearers and members of the community organization on maintaining records and constitution of the CO and convene meetings themselves to discuss the development of their village.
• Facilitate the CO in preparing the Village Development Plans (VDPs).
• Sensitize the CO members for saving and its best possible utilization.
• Facilitate the CO for building working relations with the government line agencies to access and improve the government services.
• Sensitize and educate the CO of self-help initiatives.
• Impart and organize trainings for the CO on record keeping, social organization, saving and communication.
• Facilitate the CO in registration of their organization with social welfare department.
• Facilitate the CO in preparing the CNICs.
• Assist CO in resolving the conflicts if arisen.
• Document the social organization process and its outcomes.
• Maintain daily diaries and field visit reports.
• Keep close liaison with the government line agencies present at the village and UC level.
• Any other task assigned by the supervisor according project specific needs.
• Participates in need assessments, Participatory Rural Appraisals, feasibility studies, stakeholder analyses and community consultations.
• Liaises with Governmental and non-Governmental Agencies.
• Supports the development of agreements and MoUs with community based organizations or other civil society groups.
• Elaborate all needs based inputs and all other activities according to the objectives of the program and the beneficiary involvement strategy of SRSO.
• Mobilizes the community in the effective use of the community resources.
• Mobilize communities for the prioritizing of recovery activities and strategies.
• Facilitates the capacity building and setup of representative community committees (steering committees).
• Identifies unskilled and skilled Cash for Work beneficiaries in close cooperation with the steering committee.
• Ensure, through daily dialogues and consultations that the strategy of the projects and the commitments of the various stakeholders are adhered to.

• Support and supervise daily skilled and unskilled workers / project volunteers and give them useful instruction regarding their work improvement, through coordination with the relevant skilled staff.
• Providing technical guidance, training and support to individuals targeted by each project in line with the program strategy and intended output.
• Ensure on time completion of the tasks in line with B.O.Qs and designs;
• Liaising with program staff of other SRSO teams to ensure that information is shared and that lessons learned are developed.
