Incharge Legal
1. To advise the Council, Chief Executive, Directors, Heads and other staff on the TGOC underpinning legislation, and other law affecting the TGOC;
2. To advise across the organization on the legal effects of policy proposals;
3. Where required, to assist in formulation of evidence for submission to inquiries, Select Committees and other formal tribunals;
4. To take part in and facilitate training and education of staff, on relevant legal responsibilities and evidential issues;
5. Working with the Policy and Communications Directorate, to draft material for publication on relevant legal matters and give presentations on legal topics;
6. To instruct counsel and external legal advisers on registration appeals, judicial reviews of decisions and other issues as directed by the Head of Governance and Legal Services;
7. To ensure that all legal opinions and advice commissioned by the TGOC are stored in the legal advice database;
8. To be responsible for the conduct of litigation on behalf of the TGOC;
9. To undertake other such duties as may be reasonably requested by the Head of Governance and Legal Services
