Pak-American Fertilizers Limited was the first Nitrogenous fertilizer plant built in Pakistan. The plant was commissioned in 1958 to produce 50,000 metric tons per annum (MTPA) of ammonium sulphate based on indigenous coal and gypsum as raw materials. The unit was expanded in 1968 to produce 90,000 MTPA of ammonium sulphate. The plant was converted from coal gasification to natural gas in 1973. IT was the unit of NFC before Privatization.

Pak-American was acquired by Azgard9. Azgard9 has Interests in Textiles and Fertilizers. The Textile Division (Spinning, Weaving and Garments) has a vision of becoming a Global Fashion Apparel Business. The Fertilizer Division operates a State of the Art Plant of Pak American Fertilizers Limited aspiring to be a major Regional Player. Azgard 9 has Manufacturing Sites and Offices in Pakistan, Turkey, Italy, Sweden and USA. We Envisage Significant Capital Investment and Geographic Growth Over the Next Few Years.
