ASSAC Corporation was founded in 1932 by late Khawaja Ghulam Mohammad as a trading house but own production of some items of Sporting Goods commenced soon afterwards. After the partition of Indian Sub-Continent in 1947, a big gap was created in the Sports Industry as a consequence of migration of non-muslims. This gap was duly filled by the devoted experts such as the founder of this Company and his son Khawaja Mohammad Ashraf, who had since joined his father in 1946. With continuous expansion in production facilities, ASSAC Corporation grew from strength to strength and achieved the status of one of the top most companies in the production and export of Sporting Goods - distinction still proudly held. During this period, Khawaja Mohammad Ashraf had the honour of becoming the Chairman of Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association for several terms. Later on the Company entered the field of Oriental Carpets in 1980 and is today one of the major manufacturers and exporters of this art industry. Khawaja Javed Ashraf has meanwhile joined the family business and as such there is a continuity of three generations in Sporting Goods and Oriental Carpets Industries in Pakistan.
