Hussain is a highly experienced and seasoned professional in the fields of Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, Accountability, and Research, as well as Program Planning and Management. With a track record of over a decade, Hussain has excelled in the Humanitarian, Development, and Public sectors.
Under the supervision of Project Director and Manager my role is to ensure proper Project Planning, Coordination, and Implementation in the south region (Sindh & Balochistan), and ensured smooth partnership with direct and indirect stakeholders to achieve project-set targets and goals. Support the Project Director and Manager in performing routine project-related tasks and activities, facilitating in achieving set targets and implementation of short- and long-range goals. Assist Project Director and Manager in policy documents, contracts and agreements, perform milestone reviews with higher management, and conduct monitoring and supportive visits in sites of Sindh & Balochistan.
Conduct meetings with key stakeholders from various government departments, including PDMA, Planning Ministry, Planning and Development Department, and Finance department, to assess the risk landscape and identify critical issues in risk governance. Collaborate with sector-specific and multi-sectoral ministries and agencies to understand their roles and responsibilities in disaster risk governance.
Assist the Sindh Government in establishing a Central Committee, comprising representatives from key ministries and departments, to enhance cross-sectoral cooperation and coordination for managing critical risks effectively. Hold regular meetings with the Committee to address structural challenges that hinder quick decision-making, resolve inter-ministerial dependencies, and formulate risk management policies.
Define disaster management coordination structures at provincial, district, and local levels, outlining the roles and responsibilities of each structure, performance targets, and accountability mechanisms. Integrate mitigation and prevention measures into disaster risk reduction interventions and ensure preparedness for anticipated disasters.
Monitor and evaluate post-disaster relief, recovery, reconstruction, and rehabilitation efforts to assess the quality and impact of the response. Establish a clear chain of command between different government levels and involve local communities in decision-making processes. Promote policy coherence across sectors and monitor the implementation of policies for effective disaster risk management.
Oversee all activities of the projects including Strategic Planning of the activities, smooth Implementation, Coordination with donor and direct stakeholders, conduct meeting with project staff, and develop detail implementation activity plan, activity and biweekly reports, milestone reports for submitting to donor, ongoing monitoring of the project’s activities. Develop IEC material and training manuals, identify and hire consultant/trainer and engage in training/workshops.
Being part of the country team Pakistan, my position was based in Karachi, Sindh Province. My role was to work closely.

Worked as a key focal point/person for the Province Sindh to support and lead the implementation of M&E framework across all partners and projects, collaboration, learning, adopting, and liaison with UN Agencies, INGOs and Health Department, Government of Sindh to deliver training and develop project resources and tools. Submit reports and participate in provincial meetings as per the requirement of Senior Management Teams. Conduct and lead reviews of projects and support provincial staff in using online systems and resources.
Coordinate with the Health Department and Partners in management of the MEL components, ensuring strategic planning of activities is informed by project and relevant DHIS data sets, Coordinated with partners on activities related to routine immunization and ensure community participation; monitored EPI coverage, dropout rates, and timeliness and completeness of EPI reports
Developed Monitoring and Evaluation Plan and assessment tools, pre post KAP assessment tools and reports, Detail Implementation Plan (DIP) and monthly activities plan, provide technical support in monitoring and data management in targeted districts and to improve monitoring systems and the quality of project reports.
Conducted meetings with Male and Female Medical Officer for quality of services, monitored of storeroom of medicine and verified medicines, EPI centers and verified stages of vaccine, Ensured the punctuality of the health facilities staff. Conducted meeting with all stakeholders including Department of Health, WHO, Developed linkages with government health department officials, Participated in EPI meeting held by District Health Department and WHO.
Overseeing the development and delivery of workshops, seminars, and other events organized by the program team, Scheduling, and attending meetings, creating agendas, and taking minutes. Close coordination with government officials at the education department district level, government teachers, SMC members, community leaders, religious leaders, and influential persons.
I have privilege to work with Mr. Hussain. Korejo is a talented professional, he possess good experience in Monitoring, Evaluation & Research. While working with Hussain, I found him very much supportive, he gives 100% attention to task, assigned to him. He knows an art to ensure quality in work and meet the deadline.
