I joined QATPL as a pioneer and started IT from scratch which majorly includes planning and designing of all network, assisting procurement department technically for the IT equipment evaluation and purchasing along with software deployment. My responsibilities majorly include following:
* LAN and WAN administration
* DC/ADC/File Server administration and management
* Router/Firewall configuration
* Email/web hosting management
* AV server/Windows update server/print server etc
* Managing DR and Backups
* CCTV administration and control
I joined Hyperstar as an Assistant IT Manager and after two years I was promoted as an IT Manager (HoD) I was working as first level of support manager in four business units (Pakistan head office, Lahore, Karachi & Islamabad store). I was responsible for preparing the IT budget, procurement of IT equipment and following up with IT vendors for setting up equipment, network, and necessary software services in new store projects.
System Engineering & administration, Application administration, Application Server administration and rights for users, Database and backup operations, System monitoring, LAN/WAN administration & configuration of devices, and any other Configuration related to hardware or software at any platform as required and process & procedure designing, Member of Zonal TST (Technical Support Team).
Supporting entire software network (including Mail, Proxy, Application and Database Server) for this 400-employee company with 5 locations, including LAN technologies, internet, intranet, and Ethernet systems, Planned and oversaw installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrades for company, Provided technology expertise during strategic planning and represented technology requirements on various planning committees, Major task was to handle all network related issues starting from design, physical network infrastructure, cable termination, devices mounting such as switches, routers, rack building, installation, configuration, system administration, installing & troubleshooting components such as system boards, RAMs, Network cards, power supplies, trying to identify hardware issues & eliminating them, monitoring under command team of 6 members.
Managed the health and maintenance of the network including proxy server, switches and equipment. Contributed effective support for service delivery.
Managed the installation, upgrade, repair and maintenance of computers and network including the contract staff, generating reports on various scenarios demanded by management, managed delivery of technical support to colleges from other departments.
