Managing a team of 12 Technical Support Engineers working in Punjab Saaf Pani Company currently operating in 6 regions of Punjab those include Multan, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad and Lahore. The company’s infrastructure will be extended to 40+ locations within Punjab in next two years.

Responsibilities:

End-to-End network operations including troubleshooting of LAN, WAN and Wireless networks in all 6 regions and maintaining network sustainability SLA.
IT infrastructure development including procurement, Installation, and maintenance of IT inventory.
Installations, Operations and Maintenance of Servers, Routers, Switches, Wireless Routers and Access points, Desktop machines, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, Photocopiers, Fax Machines, Projectors, LED TVs etc.
Development, following and maintaining of SLAs with different vendor companies.
Daily, Weekly and Monthly health checks.
Provide on call, remote access, remote configuration and remote troubleshooting support.
Provide training to Technical Support Officers for basic troubleshooting and health checks.
Research and Development on procurement of Company’s own Data Center which it wants to deploy on it on premises in coming months
Coordination with Wateen head office in case of major network disconnection.

Warid Metro Ethernet project also known as Warid IP/MPLS METRO Access Network for LTE is a huge network of Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer3 devices across all major cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Sialkot. The Metro Access Network has its own DWDM infrastructure and using CISCO ONS 15454 devices in 4 cities i.e. Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Faisalabad. Contingency plan which consisted of CISCO ME3400 switches has been mostly replaced with CISCO ASR903 and ASR 9006 routers.

Reponsibilities:

Provide CISCO expertise and consultancy support to back office Ericsson transmission team in Warid MSC KLP from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM during working days.
Provide on call, remote access, remote configuration and remote troubleshooting support to Ericsson transmission team 24/7/365.
Basic training of front office and back office Ericsson resources to perform daily operations of monitoring and health checks.
Troubleshooting and finding of route cause analysis reports on day to day network operational issues.
Provide training to the field engineers of Ericsson for basic troubleshooting and health checks.
Fortnightly backups of configurations from all CISCO routers, Switches and DWDM devices.
Provision of performance and status reports of Metro Access Network from time to time.
Daily, Weekly and Monthly health checks.
Addition and deletion of nodes in NMS.
Maintaining, Upgrading and backups of NMS.
Time to time coordination with CISCO TAC about issues.

Responsibilities:

Managing a team of Network Engineers in departments of Network Operations, Field Engineers and System Support in coordination with Software development and System Administration departments in a private organization.

Prominent Projects:

I. Parking System Automation project with CDGL

Worked as Sr. Network Engineer on Parking System Automation pilot project of City District Government Lahore. We were allotted nine different parking sites in Lahore City. All parking areas were automated successfully using personal digital assistants (PDA), Workstations, GSM/Wi-Fi networks and high-availability database servers.

II. E-Toll Management System at Elite Town Housing Society

Worked on E-Toll Management System installation at Elite Town Housing Society Lahore.

III. Parking System Automation project with CDA

Worked as Sr. Network Engineer on Parking System Automation project. Capital Development Authority Islamabad allotted us two parking sites at Jinnah Super Market Islamabad as a pilot project in 2013 March, 2013.

Responsibilities:

Installation, configuration, management, monitoring and troubleshooting of LAN and WAN links through CISCO routers and switches. Installation, configuration, management, troubleshooting and updating of Banking System software.
Applying disaster recovery, automated backups, anti-virus and anti-hacking techniques.
Worked as an active team member for Bank Alfalah Limited’s Networks and Infrastructure wing, involved in deploying ADS and T24 at all major branches of Lahore region.

Responsibilities:

Providing system and network support to sub-offices situated in ten major cities of Pakistan including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Rahim Yar Khan, Peshawar , Sukkur. Managing LAN network consisted of 230+ nodes in a corporate environment , Xante 4G and Hp9000 series printers , Scanners , Configuring and Managing Cisco routers and switches, windows 2003 servers , MS SQL server 2000 , ADS , DNS , DHCP , ISA server , Sametime connect chat server , Troubleshooting of WAN links between Lahore and other offices connected through DSL and Radio Links.

Installation, Configuration, Management and Troubleshooting of Microsoft windows NT and Microsoft windows 2000 based servers for small, medium and corporate sector organizations.
Designing indoor and outdoor data networks for client companies, providing software, hardware and network support. Setting up radio links between different business set-ups. Installation of LAN as well as WAN technologies.
