Introduction:

We are one of the largest aid organizations in the Nordic region. Together with our international network and partner organizations in the ACT Alliance, we are able to reach millions of people each year and help make a positive difference around the world. Our three long-term goals are to Save Lives, Build Resilience, and Seek Justice, and we work passionately with locally-led advocacy, long-term development, and emergency assistance.

As we see more and more people negatively affected by climate change and environmental degradation, we are scaling up its efforts to increase community resilience by integrating Climate and Environmental Stewardship (CES) into our Global Programme Framework for 2025-2029. The aim of CES is to support local communities to: a) prepare and respond to impacts of climate change, environmental degradation, and natural and man-made disasters; b) sustainably manage natural resources; and c) mobilize citizens and duty-bearers to act for climate and environmental justice.

We are therefore looking for a proactive and experienced person to drive the implementation of CES in humanitarian, long-term development, and/or advocacy interventions in our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the program quality and development of CES in the department.

The Program Coordinate positions coordinate, advise, or specialize in organizational activities. Positions encompassing managerial functions including planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the activities, with a broad range of managerial authorities and responsibilities.
