Model Degree College in Peshawar
Peshawar Model Educational Institutions are being established since 1979. Peshawar Model Degree College (Boys) Peshawar came into being in 1997 followed by PMDC (Girls) in 2002, PMDC (Boys II) in 2008, PMDC (Boys & Girls) in separate Campuses in Mardan in 2011 and PMDC (Boys) Hayatabad in 2014. All these institutions have a mission to impart quality education at affordable cost. The P.M.E.Is comprise eleven separate schools and six Degree colleges with a total students population of over 26,000.
In recognition of valuable services being rendered by P.M.E.Is in education it was granted the Charter to establish City University of Science & Information Technology in 2001 by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The City University, by the grace of Almighty Allah, has held its seventh convocation recently. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa very kindly graced the occasion. City University also has the distinction of being the only university in Pakistan accredited and recognized by the British Accreditation Council.
Peshawar Model Degree Colleges are providing congenial environment to the students for the overall development and excellence in practical life. These are striving under the patronage of PMEIs , to inculcate in students moral values, positive personality traits and character building qualities such as hard-work, honesty, loyalty, sincerity, discipline, dedication, punctuality and sense of duty. Our aim is to produce enlightened, progressive and patriotic citizens, capable of serving humanity, Islam and Pakistan.
The Colleges boast of an environment where all possible facilities are at hand for the students to utilize their precious time purposefully. The hand-picked faculty is committed to nurture the talents of the students towards excellence in curricular and extra -curricular activities.
The Colleges are housed in purpose-built buildings having spacious and well-ventilated class-rooms,auditoriums, playgrounds, and well equipped separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. They also have full-fledged Computer labs with latest computers and related accessories which not only facilitate the students in carrying out the curricular obligations, but also help them in remaining abreast with the latest computer technology. Free access to internet facility is extended to the students during working days.
