The Support-a-Family Program (SAFP) has been launched to alleviate the suffering of the victims of the earthquake that struck Pakistan on October 8, killing over 73,000 and leaving more than 3 million homeless.

SAFP is an initiative of the Disaster Relief Management Society (DRMS) which is an independent legal entity designed to liaise between donors and recipients and institute transparency in the aid collection and disbursement mechanism. The DRMS Board of Directors includes eminent persons representing the civil society, government functionaries, NGOs, overseas Pakistanis and the private sector. DRMS has its headquarters in Lahore while site offices are being established in Islamabad, Muzaffarabad and Mansehra. Under Support-a-Family programme your entire donation reaches the recipients while the administrative expenses are borne by the Government.
