Seed is most important input which farmers puts in the soil to hope for the good harvest. Seed is a business of finding right kind of genetics adoptable to our climate. Looking at the potential of seed business, the group started venturing into this business 4 years ago and have been struggling very hard to find the right resources. We have a 39 acres dedicated facility of research farm near SUNDAR ADDA for conductiong trials of the varieties from around the world and our own public sector research organizations. In just a period of 4 years, we managed to find very good hybrids of Rice, Corn, Canola, Sorghum Sudan Grass, Melons, Tomato, Lady Finger and Cauliflower. Our rice hybrid PUKHRAJ have broken the yield record by a production of 142 maunds per acre. We have hundreds of farmers who managed to have more than 100 maunds plus acre.


We have a mission of having local seed production to minimize dependence on imported seeds and have signed agreements international players for that. In 2008, we tested inbred lines of Corn, Canola, Rice and Cotton at our research facility, to find out suitable crosses so that we can start local hybrid seed production of above crops in 2010.
