We are seeking an experienced and motivated "Accounts Executive" to oversee the full accounting function for our UK-based security company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full accounting function for the UK-based security company.
- Prepare and finalize year-end financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK tax legislation.
- Maintain and reconcile financial records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, making payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as required.
- Payroll management with full knowledge of UK labor laws, tax codes, and employee benefits.
- Interact with clients via calls and emails, so the candidate should have full command of spoken English.
- Maintain basic knowledge about tender processes, documentation, and requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a UK-based security company.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
