Assitant Accountant

Zohra & Sons is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team at our private company located in RCCI Industrial Estate Rawat Islamabad. The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of experience in accounting and finance, demonstrating proficiency in financial reporting, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations. This role focuses on supporting the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring timely expense tracking and data entry. The Assistant Accountant will play a vital role in helping the company maintain compliance with financial regulations and contribute to sound financial decision-making. The role requires a candidate with strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently without managing a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent record-keeping abilities are essential to efficiently manage financial data and aid in monthly and annual financial reporting processes. Responsibilities

Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy between company records and financial institutions.
Manage the general ledger by recording all financial transactions precisely.
Process expense tracking and verify supporting documentation for all transactions.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Enter financial data and maintain organized records for auditing and compliance purposes.
Support payroll processing and tax preparation activities as required.
Collaborate with other departments to collect necessary financial information.
Assist with internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable financial regulations.
Perform routine financial analysis to identify discrepancies or errors.
Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and financial workflows.
