The Fashion Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process of garments and accessories within a fashion company. They manage the production team, coordinate with suppliers and vendors, and ensure that production schedules are met while adhering to quality standards and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities:

Production Planning: Develop production schedules and plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.

Supplier Management: Source and negotiate with suppliers for materials, trims, and other production necessities. Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality control.

Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of production staff, including pattern makers, cutters, sewers, and quality control inspectors. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations.

Quality Control: Implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and product quality. Conduct inspections at various stages of production to identify and address any defects or issues.

Cost Management: Monitor production costs and expenses to ensure that they stay within budgetary constraints. Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory management team to track raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory levels. Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet production demands.

Production Coordination: Coordinate production activities with other departments such as design, merchandising, and logistics to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of products.

Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards in the production process. Implement measures to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for production staff.

Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality in the production process.
