A growing Freight and Logistics start-up is looking to hire an Accountant/Bookkeeper.
It’s a remote position open globally.
Key Duties, Roles & Responsibilities:
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Fill out order invoices and prepare client sales invoices
- Check balances in ledgers and various transaction accounts
- Compile and maintain all necessary records, reports and logbooks.
- Handle VAT filing for the company
- Reconcile Bank statements and investigate any expected discrepancy
- Conduct data entry, job creation, billing, general administrative tasks, and any other assigned ad-hoc duties.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet individual, team, and departmental objectives,
Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Must have sound knowledge of English (written and spoken).
- Experienced PC User, familiar with MS Office, email and Internet.
- Some knowledge of customs documentation and procedures in the SA or GCC is a plus
- Knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Logistics is a plus
