Barista

ZAV is seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join their team located in F-6/2, Firdaus Market, Islamabad. The ideal candidate will have strong practical knowledge of espresso drinks such as ristretto and lungo, along with proficiency in milk steaming, texturing, and latte art. This position requires confident handling of espresso machines and an ability to consistently produce high-quality coffee throughout busy shifts. The Barista will work an 8-hour shift with a 1-hour break and will be supported with health insurance benefits. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills further by collaborating with the team to create new drinks, maintaining the cafs workflow, and ensuring hygiene standards are met. This role involves managing a team of nine persons, promoting a cohesive working environment and high operational standards. The Barista will focus on delivering exceptional coffee experiences while managing quality and consistency even during peak hours. Attention to detail in grinder calibration and espresso machine operation is essential. This role suits candidates who have at least one year of experience or relevant practical knowledge of coffee preparation techniques. Responsibilities

Prepare espresso, ristretto, and lungo coffee beverages with strong attention to taste and consistency.
Operate and maintain espresso machines to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness.
Steam and texture milk accurately for various coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos.
Create visually appealing latte art to enhance customer satisfaction.
Adjust and calibrate coffee grinders regularly to maintain consistent coffee extraction.
Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Perform cleaning and maintenance routines on equipment and caf areas daily.
Manage caf workflow efficiently, especially during busy periods, to maintain quality and speed.
Train and supervise a team of nine personnel, providing guidance on beverage preparation and customer service standards.
Collaborate with team members to develop and introduce new drink recipes.
Maintain stock levels and order supplies as necessary to avoid shortages and waste.
Engage with customers professionally, providing excellent service and answering any coffee-related questions.
Adhere to all company policies and local regulations regarding health and safety.
