Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Zam Software Solutions is seeking a dedicated Software Quality Assurance Engineer with at least one year of experience to join their team. This role involves working closely on both manual and automated testing to ensure software products meet the highest quality standards. The engineer will develop detailed test plans, design test cases, and employ various testing strategies to identify software defects and ensure bug fixes are effective. While this position does not require managing a team, strong collaboration with development teams and other stakeholders is essential to support continuous improvement in product quality. The successful candidate actively participates in quality assurance processes, maintains comprehensive testing documentation, and prioritizes testing activities to align with project milestones. Applying expertise in automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Java, Cucumber, and Postman API testing will be key. This role also fosters quality assurance best practices by adapting to new methodologies and technologies, promoting innovation in testing approaches, and providing clear communication throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities

Develop detailed and well-structured test plans, test cases, and scenario matrices to cover all functional and non-functional aspects of software products.
Execute manual and automated testing procedures thoroughly to identify defects and ensure software reliability.
Design and implement test automation frameworks and scripts using tools like Selenium WebDriver with Java and Cucumber, as well as API automation with Postman.
Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to confirm that resolved issues do not reoccur.
Track and report bugs systematically using bug tracking software, providing clear and concise defect reports and actionable insights.
Collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, and project stakeholders to review requirements, technical documents, and provide timely feedback.
Estimate, plan, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities to ensure alignment with project deadlines and milestones.
Maintain and update test scripts and documentation to accurately reflect product changes, enhancements, and new releases.
Continuously monitor testing outcomes and quality assurance processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Support daily communication and coordination with on-shore teams to facilitate smooth QA operations and issue resolution.
Promote a culture of quality within the team by adapting to evolving testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
Perform additional quality assurance tasks as assigned by management, maintaining a proactive approach toward testing innovation and delivering high-quality software.
