We are urgently seeking an experienced ACCA-qualified Accounting Manager to join our growing boutique accountancy practice. This is a key hire for the firm and an excellent opportunity for a professional with 5–6 years of solid UK finance and tax experience who is ready to take ownership of client relationships and lead a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities Client Leadership
Take full ownership as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of SME clients.
Deliver timely, high-quality accounting and tax services while building long-term client relationships.
Provide commercial and tax advisory support to UK businesses.
Accounts & Tax (UK Focus)
Review and finalise management accounts and statutory accounts (UK GAAP / FRS 102).
Oversee and review corporation tax computations, VAT returns, and compliance filings.
Ensure all submissions are completed accurately and on time to HMRC and Companies House.
Coordinate with external auditors when required.
Advisory & Growth
Support clients with cash flow planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Advise on tax efficiency, R&D claims, capital allowances, and director remuneration.
Proactively communicate changes in UK tax legislation to clients.
Team & Practice Leadership
Supervise, mentor, and review junior and semi-senior staff.
Support recruitment, training, and performance management.
Contribute to process improvements and digital transformation initiatives.
Essential Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet These)
ACCA qualified or finalist (ACCA is mandatory).
5–6 years of UK experience in finance and tax within a UK accountancy practice.
Strong hands-on experience with UK statutory accounts, corporation tax, and VAT.
Proven ability to manage clients independently and lead a team.
Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, IRIS, CCH, or similar UK accounting software.
