Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural design of residential buildings using engineering principles and standards.
  • Prepare detailed structural calculations and design documentation ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Develop accurate structural drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools like ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000.
  • Perform structural analysis to evaluate the integrity and safety of designs under various loading conditions.
  • Design reinforced concrete and RCC components, producing accurate bar bending schedules (BBS) to guide construction.
  • Coordinate architectural and structural elements to ensure seamless integration and resolve any design conflicts.
  • Supervise site activities related to structural works, ensuring construction aligns with approved designs and safety standards.
  • Manage and mentor a team of three engineers or technicians, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to clarify requirements and update project progress.
  • Review and approve structural drawings and documentation prepared by team members for quality and accuracy.
  • Stay updated with the latest building codes, standards, and industry best practices relevant to residential structural engineering.
  • Conduct technical assessments and recommend appropriate modifications to improve structural performance and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all documentation is meticulously prepared for regulatory approval and project handover.
  • Assist in troubleshooting structural issues during construction and advise on corrective measures promptly.
