Senior Structural Design Engineer

This role demands proficiency in advanced structural analysis software and strong project management skills to ensure that all designs meet safety, compliance, and client requirements efficiently and effectively. As a key member of the engineering team, the Senior Structural Design Engineer applies technical skills and leadership to guide the successful completion of residential projects. The role involves detailed analysis, design, and optimization of concrete frames and other structural components using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, ETABS, and SAFE. The candidate is responsible not only for the technical quality of the designs but also for mentoring team members, coordinating project tasks, and collaborating closely with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities

Lead the structural design and analysis of residential buildings, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and standards.
Manage and supervise a team of five engineers and designers, providing technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Use AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, ETABS, and SAFE for developing detailed structural models and design calculations.
Perform structural assessments particularly focusing on concrete frame design and related structural elements.
Coordinate project activities, schedules, and resources to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
Review and approve design documents, calculations, and reports submitted by team members.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure holistic project integration and compliance.
Implement quality control and assurance processes to maintain high standards in design deliverables.
Maintain current knowledge of best practices, emerging technologies, and updated building regulations related to structural design.
Prepare technical presentations and communicate complex information effectively to clients and stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate potential project risks related to structural design and implementation.
