We are seeking a talented and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and administration, with expertise in maintaining, optimizing, and securing databases. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely or on-site, depending on our client requirements.

Responsibilities:

Database Management: Manage and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability.

Database Optimization: Identify and implement database optimization strategies to improve performance and efficiency.

Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to safeguard databases from unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in case of system failures.

Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to business operations.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor database performance metrics and proactively identify areas for improvement or optimization.

Capacity Planning: Forecast future database capacity requirements and plan for scalability to accommodate business growth.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and support for database-related initiatives.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) are a plus.
