RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Editorial and Team Supervision

Participate in editorial meetings to propose story ideas and campaigns and set the news agenda.
Write feature articles, news stories, and editorial or opinion pieces (minimum of one per month).
Review scripts in Urdu and English and, if required by the employer, appear on news shows or serve as an anchor.

2. Reporting and Recommendations

Conduct social media research and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with actionable recommendations for social media development.
Fact-check content for the employer’s use, set monthly KPIs, and create budgets for paid social media campaigns.
Submit weekly and monthly reports on the performance of these campaigns.

3. Managerial Oversight

Oversee project-related objectives and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Coordinate with and delegate tasks to team members, maintaining adherence to prescribed deadlines and generating regular progress updates.

4. Video Deliverables

Create video content including on-camera interviews, supplemental footage (B-rolls), PTCs, vox pops, animations, photographs, infographics, and montages.
Ensure all video deliverables include appropriate audio elements, such as VOs, dubs, SOT, natural sounds, and soundbites.

5. Print Deliverables

Produce text articles and accompanying materials like VO scripts, storyboards, translations, and timestamps.

6. Fact-Findings

Conduct primary and secondary research, perform fieldwork, collect data, and conduct interviews (captured as footage, audio, or transcripts), along with documentation and other relevant tasks.
