Vigilance Officer

StormFiber, a leading fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband service provider in Pakistan and part of the Lakson Group of Companies, is looking for a Vigilance Officer to protect its optical fiber infrastructure. Known for delivering high-speed internet, television, and telephone services to residential and business customers, StormFiber relies on advanced fiber optic technology to ensure reliable connectivity. The Vigilance Officer will be responsible for monitoring the physical network assets through regular field patrols, identifying potential risks, damages, or unauthorized activities that could compromise the infrastructure. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to maintain the security and integrity of the fiber network.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols along outside plant (OSP) infrastructure routes to ensure the safety and security of assets.
- Monitor excavation, digging, and construction activities near fiber optic cables to prevent any damage.
- Inspect network components such as ducts, cables, cabinets, and enclosures for irregularities or faults.
- Promptly identify and report any damages, faults, or discrepancies compared to existing infrastructure records.
- Coordinate with contractors to support maintenance activities and resolve issues efficiently.
- Liaise with utility companies and other external parties during civil works that may impact the fiber network.
- Assist the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team in locating and troubleshooting ground faults.

Required Qualifications:
- Educational qualification of Intermediate or Matriculation (1st or 2nd division).
- Must own a motorbike and possess a valid driving license.
- Basic proficiency in mobile communication and social media platforms.
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Basic language skills in Urdu, English, and local languages for effective communication.
- Ability to work independently with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Energetic and committed to performing fieldwork diligently.
