As a Senior Front End Engineer, you will integrate WebSocket technologies and various real-time data syncing frameworks such as Socket.IO and Firebase Realtime Database to ensure a seamless and highly responsive user experience. Your expertise in RESTful API integrations and automation testing with Cypress will be crucial in maintaining the high performance and reliability of the platform. You will work independently without managing a team but collaborate closely with other developers and stakeholders to deliver top-tier product enhancements. This role demands not only technical expertise but also adaptability and resilience to meet the fast-paced needs of financial market clients effectively.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain user-facing features using React.js, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Optimize application performance for handling complex financial market data at scale.
- Implement and manage real-time data synchronization mechanisms using WebSockets, Socket.IO, and Firebase Realtime Database.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging utilizing Cypress automation and Chrome DevTools to ensure product stability and quality.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs, enabling seamless data exchange and synchronization.
- Adapt and refactor existing platform components to meet immediate client demands and new functional requirements.
- Utilize advanced CSS techniques including CSS Grid, Tailwind CSS, and other CSS frameworks to create efficient and visually appealing interfaces.
- Develop and maintain automation test frameworks to improve test coverage and streamline quality assurance processes.
- Analyze and troubleshoot JavaScript event-driven programming issues related to real-time data handling.
- Respond promptly to client feedback and platform issues, demonstrating the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Stay current with industry advances and emerging technologies to continuously improve front-end architecture and tools.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimized user experiences across various devices and environments.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing, even when not managing a team.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and best practices to support ongoing maintenance and scalability.
