You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility. This role involves working with electrical systems in compliance with safety standards, regulations, and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and Maintenance:

    • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and equipment.
    • Assemble, test, and install electrical panels, switches, and circuit breakers.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  2. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

    • Diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices.
    • Replace or repair faulty wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
    • Ensure timely resolution of issues to minimize downtime.
  3. Preventive Maintenance:

    • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
    • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
    • Document maintenance activities and keep detailed records.
  4. Safety Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, such as OSHA or NFPA.
    • Identify potential electrical hazards and implement corrective measures.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe work environment.
  5. Energy Efficiency:

    • Recommend and implement energy-efficient solutions for electrical systems.
    • Collaborate with the team to identify cost-saving measures.
  6. Emergency Response:

    • Respond to electrical emergencies promptly to restore power and functionality.
    • Create contingency plans for power outages or equipment failures.
  7. Team Collaboration:

    • Work with other maintenance team members to address facility issues.
    • Assist in training apprentices or junior electricians.
  8. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
    • Prepare reports on electrical system performance and issues.
