The IT Support Officer / CCTV Technician is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for IT systems and CCTV surveillance equipment. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring new systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of security and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Support:

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and network devices.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Assist in the setup, maintenance, and repair of IT equipment.
  • Document IT support requests and resolutions in the service desk system.
  • Provide training to end-users on the use of software and hardware.

CCTV Installation and Maintenance:

  • Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and other surveillance systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on CCTV systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CCTV equipment, including cameras, monitors, and recording devices.
  • Configure CCTV systems to ensure proper coverage and optimal performance.
  • Provide recommendations for system upgrades and enhancements to improve security coverage.
  • Manage and maintain video storage systems and ensure proper archiving of footage.
  • Ensure all CCTV systems comply with local laws and regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
  • Comfortable with climbing ladders and working at heights.
  • Willingness to work after hours or on weekends, if necessary.
