Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Deliver engaging and effective lectures, seminars, and tutorials in various law subjects to LLB (Hons) students.Develop and update course materials, ensuring alignment with the latest legal developments and academic standards. Design and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning.
- Research and Scholarship: Conduct high-quality, original research in the field of law, leading to publications in reputable legal journals.Actively engage in academic scholarship, presenting research findings at conferences, workshops, and seminars. Supervise and mentor students in their research projects.
- Academic Advising: Provide academic guidance and support to LLB (Hons) students, assisting them with course selection, career planning, and other academic matters. Foster a conducive and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Administrative Duties: Contribute to the development and maintenance of the LLB (Hons) Law program's academic policies, objectives, and assessments. Serve on departmental and university committees as needed.
- Community Engagement: Establish and maintain professional networks within the legal community and foster partnerships with law firms, government agencies, and other relevant organizations. Participate in public legal education and outreach activities.
Qualification & Experience:
- PhD in the relevant field from HEC recognized university with no experience OR a L.L.M, J.D or equivalent degree from an HEC recognized university with 04 years teaching experience in an HEC recognized university or relevant professional experience OR an LLB degree (First Class) from an HEC recognized university with 06 years teaching experience in an HEC recognized university or relevant professional experience.
- Candidates having UK based qualifications and/or having teaching experience at a UK based / affiliated educational institute will be given preference.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
- Membership in legal associations or bar associations.
