Key responsibilities

Lead generation:

  • Identifying and qualifying potential customers through prospecting, networking, and cold calling. 

Customer outreach:

  • Contacting prospective clients to schedule meetings and presentations. 

Product demonstrations:

  • Presenting product features and benefits to customers, addressing concerns, and showcasing how the product meets their needs. 

Sales presentations:

  • Delivering compelling sales pitches to potential clients, tailoring information to their specific needs. 

Relationship building:

  • Establishing strong rapport with clients, understanding their requirements, and maintaining ongoing communication. 

Negotiation:

  • Negotiating pricing, contract terms, and closing deals with customers. 

Sales cycle management:

  • Tracking sales progress through the sales funnel, ensuring timely follow-up throughout the process. 

Account management:

  • Maintaining existing customer relationships, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. 

Market analysis:

  • Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to inform sales strategies. 

Sales reporting:

  • Tracking key sales metrics, preparing sales reports, and analyzing performance to identify areas for improvement. 

Required skills for a sales executive:

  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to articulate product benefits clearly and persuasively. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Building rapport with clients, establishing trust, and managing customer interactions effectively. 
  • Sales acumen: Understanding the sales process, identifying customer needs, and effectively closing deals. 
  • Presentation skills: Delivering engaging presentations to potential customers.
