SQA Automation

Tropical Software Solutions is seeking a skilled SQA Automation Engineer with at least 2 years of professional experience to join and lead a team of 5 professionals dedicated to enhancing software quality and reliability. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automation test frameworks specifically for web and API testing in enterprise environments. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on expertise in test automation, API testing, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and is passionate about crafting comprehensive automated testing solutions that ensure high-quality software releases. The engineer will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle to guarantee robust test coverage, detect software defects early, and continuously improve QA processes. They will also play a crucial role in integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, validating databases, maintaining detailed testing documentation, and participating actively in sprint activities. Exposure to modern testing tools and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is highly valued to further enhance testing efficiencies.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks for both web applications and APIs to ensure efficient and reliable testing processes.
Develop and execute automated functional, regression, and smoke test suites to validate software quality at various development stages.
Collaborate proactively with software developers, product owners, and QA teams to define test strategies and guarantee comprehensive coverage of features and requirements.
Identify, document, track, and verify software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Integrate automated tests seamlessly into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps to maintain quality standards during frequent deployments.
Perform thorough API testing using tools like Postman and REST Assured, coupled with database validation to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Maintain detailed test plans, test documentation, and automation reports to provide transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
Continuously refine and improve QA methodologies, automation standards, and test frameworks to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate actively in Agile sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to align QA activities with project goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Lead and mentor a team of 5 members, promoting best practices in test automation, encouraging skills development, and supporting team collaboration.
