Tropical Software Solutions is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with a minimum of three years of experience to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, deployment pipelines, and ensuring high system availability. This role involves managing and optimizing Azure cloud infrastructure to deliver performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Alongside technical expertise, the DevOps Engineer will lead a small team of two, fostering collaboration and efficient project execution to meet business goals.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines that enable reliable software delivery. The position requires proficiency with Linux environment management, Docker containerization, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and automation tools. This role is critical to the company's mission to develop scalable software solutions while maintaining high service availability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure high performance and scalability while controlling costs.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to support automated and reliable software delivery processes.
- Implement and manage containerization using Docker to enable consistent and efficient application deployment.
- Oversee Linux-based server environments, ensuring system stability, security, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to integrate and automate workflows for rapid delivery cycles.
- Lead and mentor a team of two DevOps professionals, providing guidance and fostering skill development.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using appropriate tools and scripting languages to enhance automation and repeatability.
- Monitor system health and availability by setting up alerting and logging solutions to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and tools to improve deployment automation, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
- Maintain documentation of system architecture, processes, and best practices to support operational transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure security best practices are integrated into infrastructure and deployment workflows to protect environments from vulnerabilities.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable DevOps solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application, and deployment-related issues to minimize downtime and impact.
- Manage version control systems and configuration management to maintain consistency across environments.
- Coordinate and participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity.
