Trainee Software Developer

The Jonas Software division, a key group within CSI, provides enterprise management software to 17 vertical industries and serves over 2,200 clubs in 17 countries through its Jonas Club ERP product. We are currently looking for a Trainee Software Developer to join our global R&D team in Karachi. This role provides a structured path from training to apprenticeship, with the possibility of permanent full-time employment. The successful candidate will support the onshore R&D team and contribute to the development of Synergy, a modern browser-based platform designed for private clubs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in comprehensive training and apprenticeship programs to build software development expertise.
- Collaborate closely with the R&D team to design, develop, and maintain software applications.
- Apply principles of AI, machine learning, and software engineering in project assignments.
- Assist in developing and integrating RESTful APIs and various application architectures.
- Engage in problem-solving, debugging, and testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Work with diverse technology stacks including Python, C#, ASP.NET, Angular, and SQL Server.
- Communicate effectively within the team and with stakeholders to meet project goals and deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- A university degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Recent graduates or soon-to-be graduates in Computer Science or Software Engineering are encouraged to apply.
- Practical experience with AI through academic projects, internships, or early career roles.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, or AI-powered application development.
- Strong programming skills in Python and knowledge of AI/ML libraries and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, Angular, and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and application architectures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English.
- Ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and adhere to deadlines.
- Awareness of professional software engineering best practices.
