Mechanic

Torque Garage is seeking an experienced Mechanic with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate has at least five years of hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing vehicle engines, brake systems, ignition systems, and utilizing advanced diagnostic technologies including OBD-II scanners and automotive diagnostic software. A professional appearance and the ability to interact effectively with customers are essential for this role. In this position, the Mechanic performs detailed vehicle inspections, diagnoses mechanical and electrical faults, and completes repairs following industry standards and safety guidelines. The role does not include supervisory duties but requires a high level of technical expertise and customer service skills to ensure clients receive accurate information and high-quality workmanship. The candidate must be adept at using diagnostic equipment, analyze engine performance, conduct emissions testing, and maintain brake systems efficiently.
Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive inspections on vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
Repair and maintain engines, including ignition timing adjustment, spark plug replacement, ignition coil testing, and overall engine performance testing.
Service and repair brake systems by performing brake pad replacement, brake fluid bleeding, and using automotive brake maintenance tools.
Operate OBD-II scanners and automotive diagnostic software to accurately diagnose issues related to engine performance, emission levels, and CAN Bus systems.
Conduct ignition system diagnostics and testing using specialized tools to ensure optimal vehicle operation.
Utilize engine diagnostic software to analyze engine parameters and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance while providing excellent customer service and addressing client concerns effectively.
Handle various automotive repair tools and diagnostic scan tools safely and competently to maximize repair efficiency.
Document all repair and maintenance activities clearly and update records to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Stay updated on latest automotive diagnostic techniques and technologies to continually improve repair strategies.
