JOB PURPOSE

The Hospitality Instructor/Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality training and instruction in various aspects of hospitality management. The role involves designing curriculum, preparing training materials, and conducting practical and theoretical training sessions to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the hospitality industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ·

  • Develop, update, and refine training materials, lesson plans, and curriculum to ensure they meet industry standards and training objectives.·
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions, both theoretical and practical, covering topics such as customer service, hotel operations, food and beverage management, housekeeping, and event planning.·
  • Evaluate students' performance through assessments, tests, and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.·
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in the hospitality industry to incorporate current information into training programs.·
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them develop professional skills and career strategies.·
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, student progress, and other relevant documentation.·
  • Work with other instructors, training managers, and industry partners to ensure comprehensive training delivery and continuous improvement of the training program.·
  • Assist in organising and coordinating training-related events, workshops, and field trips to provide students with real-world industry exposure.·
  • In-depth knowledge of various aspects of the hospitality industry, including current trends and best practices.·
  • Ensure that all training activities adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
