Techno Industries is seeking an experienced Cnc Turning Machine Operator to lead and manage a skilled team of six professionals. The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of hands-on experience operating CNC turning machines, with detailed knowledge of FANUC controllers, G-Code, M-Code, CAD/CAM, and GD&T principles. This role requires a strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, and the physical capability to handle and load workpieces weighing between 15 and 18 kilograms. The operator will be responsible for overseeing daily machine operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining efficient workflow within the team.
In this position, the operator plays a critical role in maintaining production accuracy and efficiency by closely collaborating with maintenance and engineering departments. The candidate will be expected to work independently when necessary while also providing leadership, guidance, and training to their team members. A diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Technology is required to meet the technical demands of this role. The successful candidate will contribute to continuous process improvements and uphold safety standards to optimize operational performance at Techno Industries.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC turning machines using FANUC controllers to produce precision parts according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Interpret and apply G-Code, M-Code, CAD/CAM programming, and GD&T standards to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Lead and manage a team of six CNC operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high productivity.
- Set up machines for operation, including loading raw materials, selecting and installing cutting tools, and inputting program parameters.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to inspect finished workpieces and verify dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and program errors to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to workplace safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and equipment improvements.
- Document production outputs, machine settings, and maintenance activities for quality control and record-keeping purposes.
- Ensure all workpieces meet quality standards and customer specifications before release.
- Manage workloads and scheduling to meet production deadlines efficiently without compromising quality.
- Train new operators and assist team members in understanding complex machine operations and safety protocols.
- Physically handle and load workpieces weighing up to 18 kilograms safely, minimizing risk of injury.
