SQA Engineer- 3yrs Plus

Techinoid is seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer with over three years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills and a strong background in manual quality assurance, including requirements analysis, test-case design, and performing exploratory and functional testing. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with domain and product teams to clarify requirements and identify ambiguities early in the development cycle. The SQA Engineer at Techinoid also gains experience in API testing using tools such as Postman and has a working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks. The candidate should be comfortable with mocked or stubbed test data and have solid skills in defect lifecycle management, including clear documentation of reproduction steps and triage. While this role does not involve team management, it requires strong self-direction and the ability to contribute significantly to product quality through meticulous testing and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements thoroughly to design comprehensive manual test cases that validate product features and functionalities.
- Perform exploratory and functional testing on feature tickets to identify defects and ensure quality.
- Collaborate with domain and product teams to ask pertinent clarifying questions and surface any ambiguities early in the development process.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman to verify backend services and endpoints.
- Review and understand the codebase through familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and frontend frameworks to enable informed testing decisions.
- Work with mocked and stubbed test data to simulate various scenarios and validate system behavior.
- Document defects clearly with reproducible steps and manage defect triage processes effectively.
- Execute test plans independently with minimal supervision, adapting to fast-moving development cycles.
- Assist in automating test cases using frameworks like Cypress, and support unit testing efforts with Jest and Vitest where applicable.
- Support the transition of existing end-to-end and integration tests to use mocked data to increase test efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain knowledge of fintech and data-heavy product domains to tailor test strategies accordingly.
- Continuously improve testing processes and contribute insights to enhance product quality and delivery timelines.
