Tameer-i-Wattan Educational Network seeks a detail-oriented Accountant with at least three years of experience to join its finance team. The ideal candidate possesses strong skills in financial reporting, account reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, audit support, and regulatory compliance. This role demands proficiency with accounting software and the ability to communicate effectively within a team and across departments, ensuring accurate and timely financial data management.
The Accountant will perform essential accounting functions to support the organizations financial health and operational efficiency. This role requires dedication to maintaining accurate records, adherence to financial regulations, and support for audit activities. While the position does not involve team management, it demands close collaboration with various units in the organization to provide reliable financial information and assist in strategic planning processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform account reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data across various accounts.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting activities to support organizational financial planning and decision making.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Maintain general ledger entries and provide support for ledger balancing and closing activities.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies to mitigate financial risks.
- Utilize accounting software efficiently to record, process, and monitor financial transactions and reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and verify financial information critical to budgeting and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function to enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Communicate financial data clearly and effectively to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
