The Public Relations Executive and Social Media Influencer is responsible for managing the public image, communications strategy, and online presence of the organization or its clients. This dual-role professional will build and maintain relationships with media outlets, manage press releases and communications, and leverage their social media influence to engage, inform, and expand the target audience. This role requires creativity, excellent communication skills, and a strategic understanding of brand messaging across PR and social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Public Relations Management

  • Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance the organization's reputation and visibility.
  • Cultivate relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers to secure media coverage.
  • Write and distribute press releases, pitch story ideas, and organize press events.
  • Manage crisis communication and respond to inquiries promptly to protect the organization's image.

Social Media Influence & Content Creation

  • Create, curate, and share engaging content on social media platforms to foster audience engagement.
  • Use social media influence to promote products, events, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand voice and values.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and manage online interactions to enhance community engagement.
  • Monitor trends, competitor activity, and algorithm updates to maintain a relevant and impactful social media presence.

Strategy Development and Execution

  • Collaborate with marketing, PR, and branding teams to align social media and PR strategies with business goals.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of campaigns using KPIs and metrics, and adjust strategies for optimal reach and engagement.
  • Develop innovative campaigns that leverage both traditional media and digital channels to amplify brand message.

Brand Advocacy and Crisis Management

  • Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining a consistent and positive public image in all interactions.
  • Address negative comments or PR issues, working with internal teams to resolve them professionally.
  • Develop proactive crisis communication plans and implement strategies to mitigate any potential damage to the brand.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Track social media and PR campaign performance using analytics tools.
  • Prepare reports detailing reach, engagement, and conversion metrics, and suggest improvements based on data insights.
  • Regularly report PR initiatives and social media growth to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience in public relations, social media management, or as a social media influencer.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
  • Knowledge of social media analytics tools and metrics (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout Social).
  • Creative, strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
