- Draft a comprehensive national industrial policy document, synthesizing research findings, policy recommendations, and implementation strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry representatives (list of sectors at Annex-I), and research organizations, to gather input and validate policy proposals.
- Lead consultative meetings with sector associations and development partners.
- Conduct meetings to create consensus with provincial governments and offer advice on alignment between national and provincial industrial and trade policies.
- Present the draft industrial policy document to the government stakeholders, incorporating feedback and finalizing the policy for approval and implementation. Policy document should contain advice for sectors at Annex-I.
- Advice how to create industrial policies linkages with tax and tariff policies at FBR, MoC, and provincial revenue authorities.
- Review research report and plicy brief prepared by business environment team.
- Update team on emerging trends, innovations, and best practices in industrial policy and economic development.
- Participate in brainstorming and establishing a network of institutions focusing on industrial policy research. SDPI will act as a secretariat for this network.

Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) is a leading policy think tank that has been in operation since 1992. Sustainable Development Policy Institute's main responsibility in the mandate is to conduct policy advice and policy oriented research. The other part of the mandate is concerned with the implementation of policies and programs, strengthening the civil society, disseminating research findings and contributing to the building up the national research capacity and infrastructure. SDPI's research program is multi-disciplinary and problem-oriented. It is an iterative and flexible program that evolves and changes with policy needs, research capacity and interest.
