Accountant

Sunrice Foods is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in accounts and finance to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial decision-making processes. This role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. The candidate will work independently without team management responsibilities but will collaborate closely with other departments to support the companys financial health and integrity. The Accountant will play a critical role in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, identifying discrepancies, and recommending improvements to accounting procedures. This role demands excellent analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Experience in using accounting software and a thorough understanding of financial regulations is essential for ensuring the companys financial data remains accurate and compliant.
Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Manage and maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions and ensuring proper classification.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies and communicate findings to management.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes by coordinating with various departments and ensuring all entries are recorded.
Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations, company policies, and auditing requirements.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by providing financial insights and data analysis.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and respond to their inquiries with detailed documentation.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and uphold professional standards of ethics and integrity.
