He/she will be responsible for supporting delivery and reporting of capacity building and related activities of Aawaz II. She/he will work closely with Programme Management Unit (PMU) and Downstream Partners (DSP).

Main Responsibilities:

Capacity Building:

  • Support Capacity Building Manager with inputs on the capacity building plan relevant to thematic areas.
  • Arrange and coordinate for CB sessions (AAC handbook, core and thematic and ACAs module).
  • Develop field plan and provide technical support on GBV and child marriage to field teams.

Thematic Backstopping:

  • Provide technical input/guidance for development and revision of material including manuals/ modules/ handbooks and scripts of audio-visual material on thematic areas
  • Develop/revise material for capacity building sessions including AAC handbook, core and thematic modules, ACAs module/ handbook
  • Provide support on thematic issues and ensure effective delivery of external facilitators for ACA session in districts
  • Mentor the Community Facilitators in the DSP team on GBV and child marriage for cascading the refresher sessions and other field activities.

Knowledge Products:

  • Produce knowledge products on gender-based violence, rights of transgender persons and child marriage including relevant fact sheets, leaflets/one-page documents for community forums
  • Provide support for producing of knowledge products on GBV including on transgender persons and child marriage with guidance from the Gender & Social Inclusion Advisor of the Aawaz II Programme. 
  • Support PMU in developing positions papers, policy briefs, factsheets, one-pagers, etc. on relevant thematic areas

Quality Assurance:

  • Track outcomes and result of capacity building activities on GBV and child marriage.
  • Prepare guidance documents for field activities such as video screening sessions and collective actions by community members.
  • Mentor the Community Facilitators in the DSP team on GBV and child marriage for cascading the refresher sessions and other field activities.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build/maintain linkages with vulnerable groups at village, district, and provincial levels.

Safeguarding:

  • Make Safeguarding refresher session an integral part of all capacity building sessions in consultation with the Aawaz II Safeguarding Focal Person
