The Social Organizer will play a crucial role in engaging the students, teachers and communities in promotion of accessible and inclusive education in designated schools and villages. He/She will be responsible in identification of schools, development of youth clubs, conduct community engagement sessions, and promote behavior change with respect to health and hygiene, nutrition, child protection and water and sanitation and PSEA.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct field visits for Identification of partially and fully damaged schools in target districts.
- Support field engineers and District Coordination Officer in mapping of schools.
- Assist in the distribution of school supplies and maintain proper records.
- Write field activities reports and discuss with DCO and M&E on a daily basis.
- Responsible for formulating youth clubs in selected schools.
- Plan and support activities at the school level by engaging members of youth clubs under education, climate change, health, nutrition and child protection.
- Develop and design a referral directory at the district level to report cases on child protection, education, and health.
- Conduct community engagement sessions to promote key messages on Health & Hygiene, nutrition, child protection and water and Sanitation and Education.
- Assist in the enrollment of out-of-school children at village levels.
- Coordination with District and Taluka level education officers for smooth functioning of project activities.
- Distribution of IEC material in schools and communities.
- Any other relevant task assigned by the supervisor.
