The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall management, implementation, and supervision of the project, with a focus on leveraging digital technologies for TB control. The role involves ensuring timely delivery of project milestones, managing the project team, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the quality and sustainability of the project interventions.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Project Management and Implementation:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities in alignment with the Global Fund grant and Mercy Corps\' guidelines.
  • Develop detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans for the project team and ensure timely implementation.
  • Oversee the piloting, deployment, and refinement of digital health tools for TB surveillance, treatment, and reporting.
  • Ensure the collection, review, and analysis of TB-related data to meet project objectives, while maintaining data quality and integrity.
  • Identify project risks, provide solutions, and ensure timely adjustments in implementation strategies as needed.

2. Team Leadership and Capacity Building:

  • Provide strategic guidance and close supervision to the project team, ensuring all interventions are delivered with high quality and within the stipulated timelines.
  • Regularly assess staff skills and knowledge, identifying areas for capacity building, and provide tailored training and support.
  • Convene bi-weekly meetings with field teams to assess project progress, address challenges, and ensure the achievement of targets.

3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:

  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure the quality and effectiveness of interventions, providing on-site technical support where necessary.
  • Lead the preparation of timely and accurate project reports, including monthly, quarterly, and final reports, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
  • Document best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations to improve project outcomes and inform future programming.

4. Stakeholder Coordination and Communication:

  • Serve as the key liaison between SPO, Mercy Corps, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Represent the project in coordination meetings with the Principal Recipient, government departments, health facilities, and other partners.
  • Maintain regular communication with the donor, ensuring timely escalation of issues that require additional support or intervention.

5. Digital Tools and Data Management:

  • Ensure the efficient use of digital technologies, including DHIS2, for TB data entry and management, monitoring progress and making necessary modifications.
  • Engage with data users through focus group discussions to gather feedback and continuously improve the digital tools being utilized.
  • Ensure that all data collected is accurate, up-to-date, and reported in line with project and donor requirements.

6. Compliance and Organizational Alignment:

  • Adhere to SPO policies and uphold the organization’s values of participation, inclusivity, and accountability.
  • Support SPO’s broader programming efforts by participating in internal planning and review meetings as needed.
  • Stay updated with sector trends, participate in relevant professional development opportunities, and implement best practices within the project.

Deliverables:

  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans and progress reports, aligned with project goals.
  • Successful implementation of digital tools for TB management and reporting, with clear evidence of improved TB case notifications and treatment outcomes.
  • Comprehensive data analysis reports, identifying trends, gaps, and areas for improvement in TB surveillance and control.
  • Documentation of best practices, challenges, and lessons learned to guide future interventions.
  • Regular coordination meetings with stakeholders and detailed minutes or action points following these meetings. 
  • Capacity-building sessions for staff, with evaluations indicating improved skills and knowledge in TB management and digital technologies.
