ACCOUNTANT

SS Consultants is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of three to four years of hands-on experience in business accounts management, particularly within office environments handling inventory and stock-related accounting. This role demands strong proficiency in financial reporting, general ledger management, and trial balance preparation using ERP software. The Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with relevant accounting standards. The Senior Accountant will work independently without team management responsibilities. Candidates should have professional qualifications such as CA Inter, ACCA Part Qualified, or an equivalent accounting certification. The position requires a disciplined approach to managing complex financial data and supporting business decisions through thorough financial analysis and accurate record keeping. The candidate must have expertise in MS Excel and basic knowledge of ERP software.
Accounting firm experience is preferable.
Location: IEP – Engineers Town, Lahore. Candidates who can commute to this location are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and the general ledger.
Prepare journal entries and complete month-end closing schedules efficiently.
Perform thorough reconciliations of bank statements, supplier accounts, customer accounts, and balance sheet items.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements according to regulatory standards.
Oversee the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets to ensure proper accounting treatment.
Prepare detailed supporting schedules for audits and statutory financial reporting.
Ensure all accounting records are precise, complete, and comply with company policies and statutory regulations.
Collaborate closely with the Finance Director to identify opportunities to improve financial processes and enhance reporting quality.
Lead and manage a team of two accounting personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow and accuracy of financial data.
Implement and maintain internal control procedures within the accounting function to safeguard company assets.
Monitor compliance with accounting standards and company policies, making recommendations for corrective actions if necessary.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Prepare and review trial balance figures and general ledger reconciliations to guarantee financial accuracy.
Utilize ERP software effectively to streamline accounting operations and enhance data accuracy.
